Eligibility

Any middle school student who is currently in Grades 6 through 8 at the 2007-08 school year is eligible to apply.  You will need to fill out an application and get permission from your parent(s) or guardian(s).

 

Workshops Highlights

· Work with a team on fun and challenging projects
· Learn basic principles of physics, engineering, math, and science and see how they are used in the real world
· Encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and team building
· Explore engineering and science through hands-on demonstrations and activities
· Meet college students and math/science professors who will share their experiences with students

You can find the applications in the section titled "Application" of this website.  Applications must be postmarked by June 1, 2007.  If you are accepted, you will be notified by mail.  Enrollment is limited so it is best to apply early!

About

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Workshops include a one-week summer program and six Saturday morning series during the academic year on the second week of the month.  It is designed to give middle school students an opportunity to explore exciting and emerging technologies in the engineering and scientific fields.
